Do Recycling Right!
‘Why don’t plastic bags belong in your recycling cart? See video below!
Doing recycling right means only certain items go in your curbside recycle cart: empty plastic bottles and jugs with the caps on; empty aluminum, steel and tin cans; paper, stationery, newspapers, magazines and catalogs, junk mail, paperboard and cardboard. Empty food and beverage cartons are only accepted in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Sherwood, Maumelle and the unincorporated areas of the county, but not in Jacksonville.
Important reminder: If you put cereal boxes in the cart, remember to remove the plastic liner and put it in the trash. And remember to break down and flatten all cardboard boxes to fit inside your cart.
